Armintxe, paleolithic sky culture

I´m not an archaeologhist and neither an astronomer, my area is the photography, using images, I was one of the speleologists that discovered the engravings of the cave of Armintxe, in Lekeitio (Bizkaia).when I was analizing the pictures I found out that the engravings of the cave of Armintxe depicted the starry firmament, they used animals to draw their constellations and to name periods of time, in a similar way to other nowadays indigen tribes like Lakota.

One year later I have built a paleolithic sky culture based on Armintxe cave engravings to prove it,  I can say that these engravings depict the starry firmament of aprox. 12000-17000 years BP. Some of the images are easy to see on an objective way, and the possition between each other prove that the mere coincidence is impossible. There are few other pictures almost impossible too see, their shape is very subjective, it looks like the artists were trying to find in the stars these animals to complete their calendar in a forced way,

If you want to see this sky culture, you have to intale the program Stellarium:
and download the next package:

Open the package and copy the landscape content in the landscapes folder of stellarium, and copy the skyculture content in the skycultures folder, both are in the resources folder. It is impossible to see on a smartphone, tablet or a small monitor, you need a 20 inch monitor or bigger.

Date: -10.500-6-10, hour: 6:00 am.

To have a better vision I recomend the next settings in this tutorial video.

The original pictures

I took a lot of pictures of the engravings, so I have use the original pictures to draw the constellations. These animals were identified by the archaeologist Cesar Gonzalez.

This panorama was taken days after ADES espeleolgy group discovered the engravings, we can see one of our speleology group collegues mainteining a flash, in this picture we can see the real size of the engravings and how they are positioned in the cave, it is a good place to depict the starry firmament, there are engravings on the wall and in the ceiling.

This is an spherical panorama to show the cave and what is the real position of the engravings, they are very difficult to see if you are not in a good possition with the optimum light.

This is a generic view of the main panel,  it looks that the engravings are depicted on the wall, but some of them ( the bisons) are in the ceiling

After drawing all the lines this is the result

Detail of the left side of the panel. A horse with two heads, a wounded ibex, and a head of a horse with the claw marks of other  animal it could be a lion

Two horses, two ibex, and lions.

Two bisons and some unidentified lines on the top, in my opinion a river

finally I copied each figure to use them like constellations in stellarium, and this is the result.

Chronology of this work, how was born, the discoveries, and finally a theory.

I was a weather photographer, the sky was my obssesion, during ten years I took photos of clouds, lightnings, rainbows, waves, sunrises etc., this is my website:

I started with my speleology hobby, I enter in a speleology group called ADES, I passed from the sky to the underground world:

We discovered the cave art of the lost cave of Armintxe, in Lekeitio (Bizkaia) :

The day of the discovery that tha main panel of Armintxe depicts the starry firmament and shows the meaning of the simbols of their calendar:
In this video I'm totally astonished, I'm trying to explain how it happened, the way of the discovery. Then I didn't know almost anything about constellations and stars, I didn't understand what was going on. It was something very difficult to believe. I started playing, thinking nonsenses, trying to know the meaning of the panel, and that was an unexpected final.

Few days after the discovery I send a lot of e-mails to archaeologhists and astronomers,  everybody thought that it was a fake or I was crazy. I assumed that nobody was going to believe me. Then I had two options:

A- waste the time and my life trying to convince scientific world.
B- continue by this new open way, trying to find more answers.

I decided that the second option was better, and I continue finding relationships between cave art animals and periods of time.

On december I found out that other cave representations were based on the starry firmament, Altamira, Chauvet, Lascaux and Trois freres. This video is in spanish:
some days later another astonishing discovery, the nearly cave of Ekain has the same simbols than Armintxe, and something incredible, they used horses to depict winter moons, a lunar eclipse included:
Ekain the moons of the horse (in spanish)

I traveled to Ariege:
to complete the calendar and to find relationships between moon and bisons: Niaux, the moons of the bison  (in spanish)

I make two subtitled videos to explain on an easy way my theory of cave art, animals like representation of periods of time.

Theory in spanish:
In acordance with the simbols I built a hipotesis of their movements: the journey of salmon.
finally, a comparation between Lakota and cave art coincidences: the Lakota conexion

I finished building this skyculture.
